1003 Dartmouth Street

1665 sqft | 3 beds | 2 baths | 0.31 acres | #2319828
Description
As legend would have it, 1003 Dartmouth St was used during Prohibition to smuggle liquor. Cars would pull up next to the door into the cellar and the illicit boxes would be taken upstairs (the stairs are walled off now but still there). A mechanism in what is now a walk-in closet revealed a space in the wall where the booze would be hidden. A platform with a light are all that remain of the home's speakeasy past.
